just becomes so much hassle that in the end they didn't bother. The only guy I know who did it successfully and has the most beautiful villa in Chaing Mai was married to a Thai lady, the property is in her name. When we looked into it about 5 years ago we were told we could buy an apartment.

I have one over a laundromat in Puerto Vallarta Mexico..I recently replaced the dry wall, hardwood floors, plumbing, windows and hooked up DirecTV in it. It's like a little slice of heaven. All I have left to do is furnish and decorate
