I would second that, have been to one NYE celebration in Edinburgh, and it was great.

I'm in Yorkshire the week of the 11th Dec, then down London for the 17th then Bath 21-28 so wanting to fly Eirope from London n not travel back up the country really

Berlin recently was awesome. Quality city but very well spread out.

Dad went to Copenhagen on his own for New Years Eve last year and loved it.

What about Lisbon?

Not done any of these places so all worth a visit definitely just need to check which will be best over new year. Looked also at Iceland but just seems a bit far fetched, would still love to go though

Amsterdam would have to be fun, just so long you can avoid KLM.
