I think 11% of them having passport is more than enough, given the circumstances.

I was over there last week and one of my mates came up to me, very excited, and proudly announced that he had finally taken a trip outside the USA....
Granted, it was only to Mexico, only a 4-5 hour drive from Houston, but he was so chuffin' proud of himself....

Which ain't so far off the truth. Distinctions can get blurred: Kuwait and Qatar are both emirates, yet countries in their own right. And historically there have been many emirates which qualified as countries: Afghanistan and Bahrain to name but two.

..but remember the UAE has only existed since Dec 2nd 1971, and at the time it was only 6 of the now 7 emirates that 'united'...
...and that was only after a failed plan to form an alliance between the then Trucial States and Qatar and Bahrain

Yawn...we are going way off topic here. The fact remains that most USA nationals are simply not cosmopolitan enough to justify their title as the world's top super power.

Yeah, but worse than that have you seen the GBP / AED exchange rate recently? Shocking. And I still can't work out how to get the World Cup out here, The Dean's dick's shrinking, some bloke in Saudi wants flying lessons but he won't confirm he wants to know how to land the bloody thing as well, and...
Hang on, what were we talking about?
