Well based on events so far I don't have a good feeling about the last test - but if the worst happens and you happen to be in the company of a victorious Aussie or two you can always bring this into the conversation

Aussies are such bad sports.
Did you see the article in the news regarding the English team hotel's fire alarm being set off in the early morning during the last big competition. Apparently they have identified the culprits as an Aussie supporters group who explained it away as harmless high jinks. The team stood outside in the early morning for ages. Its funny I agree but come on, its hardly cricket is it. I thought they were meant to be the best??? If so surely they can win without these dirty school boy pranks.

Harold Larwood is a legend and he basically invented exciting fast bowling and the "bouncer". The sad thing is that because of the controversy he was made a scapegoat and never played for England again.

The Aussies only got upset about bodyline because they didn't think of it.

Later, Larwood emigrated to Australia and was treated like a hero - they know a scapegoat when they see one....... they saw him as working-class hero who simply obeyed his upper-class captain's orders. No surprise they warmed to him.

And England appear to be well on top................. first innings lead of 172, helped by some disgraceful umpiring (all of which seems to have gone in England's favour), and which will certainly loom large in the post-match interviews, etc.

Even if England are bowled out for less than 100 tomorrow, they should still win. The disintegrating pitch is the deciding factor.
