What a wonderful world...soothing !

Re: What a wonderful world...soothing !
Tea is taken at 4pm, and consists of finger sandwiches, scones & cakes. One might go as far as welsh rarebit with gentleman's relish, if one is willing to run the gauntlet of cries of gluttony....
Dinner is the main evening meal. It is never lunch. But a dinner-lady serves lunch at school.....
Supper is a snack before bedtime..... Not to be confused with grabbing a doner outside of a nightclub - which is simply an incantation rite for bathroom disaster the following morning....
By jove, what is the world coming to?

LOL. When I was at Kings, myself & a rather charming American exchange student that I was friendly with, as an occasional treat, would smoke a little weed in the early afternoon and then go to Fortnum's for their historic "high tea"....

Usually includes tea with scones (Scottish) with cream and jam...not sure what is put on muffins (English) though, which is also often served at high tea. When I think of high tea, I always associate it with scones.

The weed? Best left out, these days....
