At present, this hideous structure, which stands directly opposite my office window overlooking Zabeel Park, has reached 27 storeys in height. It is a real eye sore. They say it cost Dhs120 million (probably much more actually) to build but will attract 2 million visitors a year (probably very many less). What a complete waste of money, which surely could have been better spent on improving the road system or beach facilities to attract returning tourists. Your views?
