Default What makes a good driver?

No wonder we face chaos on the roads when we have people like this thinking they are good drivers. Seems to be proud that he's 'only' had 4 claims in 10 years

No claims so why is my insurance up 40 per cent?

What does "claim" mean?

I have never had a claim, of any sort, in the 25+ years I have owned vehicles.

The guy says his insurance company's reason for the 40% increase in insurance premiums was inflation. Sounds like a total BS answer from the insurance company. UAE isn't Zimbabwe to have 40% inflation.

40 years from me, although I got smacked once by a former Yugoslavian while I was in Germany. Totally his fault.

fair few claims. All my road based ones i was stationary at lights and other people drove into me. Off road claims..... all my fault. not sure if off road claims count as its pretty much impossible not to break stuff offroad if you do enough of it.

I fell asleep and drove into someone and wrote my car off and his car too. Fortunately wasn't going that quick, just an awkward one after a set of lights. That's my only claim (touch wood).

Oh to be 17 again and not give a shit.

Why would you drink a pint while driving? The glass will never fit into the cupholders (although I'd like to think that if a Rover P5 had cupholders they'd hold a pint) and it will spill everywhere when you change speed or direction.

I'm a terrible driver (inattentive, driving too fast etc.) and have avoided a claim or accident with 14 years of driving experience.

I fell asleep once on the freeway , going around 65mph. Went off road into the grass , and woke up when I hit a tree trunk lying on its side. Have nodded off a few other times on the freeway but awoke just in time. Now I do my best to pull over and take a nap . I go on long drives (several hundred or thousands of miles ) in a span of a day or a few days so lots of times I feel sleepy.

Jeez!! You are all a bunch of slackers! Never had an accident, never nodded off. No claims no cases no nothing. Just use common sense to drive that's all

It properly shit me up. Won't ever drive tired now, would rather cancel or rearrange whatever it is I'm heading for.

A long blink on a motorway will cover a lot of distance.
