Re: Weekend plans?
My weekend will consist of flying back from Washington to Dubai. Must say, it's quite pleasant in the unfree world at the moment. Just going for a coffee with plastic milk after I've had my heavily medicated and hormone'd breakfast steak.

I'm doing a 5 hour brunch (11-4) for 199. Bargain Booze. |

Surprised they let you in with that, didn't think foodstuffs of any type were allowed let alone a leg of pig.
I'm doing a 5 hour brunch (11-4) for 199. Bargain Booze. I miss brunches, for the quality and variety of food, and cheap booze. I probably spend more on eating / drinking out here than I did in UAE. There are 3 local beers (which are ok), plus Heineken, Coors and Carlsberg -- all cans / bottles, except for occasionally the local Flag Speciale on draft. Some great restaurants in Casablanca and Marrakech, and a couple in a town an hour away, plus the ubiquitous tagine which can be hit and miss. |
Re: Weekend plans?
Well looking at your tag line, Casablanca seems ideal for you. I'd love to go there - and Marrakesh (La Mamounia anyone)?
Maybe later this year. How's the gin in Ricks? |

I adopted the tag line because I'm in Morocco! Marrakech is interesting -- I imagine La Mamounia would be fantastic, but I'd baulk at £600+ per night.
Rick's is enjoyable, good food and atmosphere: Turned out brunch was only 139, too much Shiraz and I think I was helped out LOL |
Re: Weekend plans?
Nice relaxing day Friday and enjoyed today; first day of my city and guilds Chef course. Learnt how how to chop an onion and make carrot juliennes lol. Suspect it’ll be a few weeks before the class catches up with me :). |
Re: Weekend plans?
Shot a top 10 round of golf for me on one of the worst hangovers imaginable. 7 hour nap after, then watched the football with sausages, chips and spaghetti hoops. Literally the stuff of dreams.

did your meal prep people put the hoops in your box? 😄
Then week after my Dad arrives so won't exactly be a good week of food. But could just do lunches and brekkie. Then have a run of a few weeks where this would be great. If I don't time it right, I'll waste it. I need a decent run at something to get it to stick.

Re: Weekend plans?
Up at 6:30, left at 7:15, tee off 8:40, back in the clubhouse at 10:30 (quickest round I've ever had -- with a buggy coz of my knees -- 3 parties let me play through), decent lunch (monkfish & pesto brochettes), watched the paint dry at Monaco, food shopping, workout + HIIT on the rower, beard trim and haircut. Back in the office at 6 this morning ...
