If a couple with mediocre budget decided to spend their honey moon in wales .. What would you advise them to do in order to enjoy their times to the maximum limit...

I was at a wedding In Wales earlier this year- in the Gower area- It was beautiful, Im sure you can think of things to do there! Long walks in the countryside, staying in bed all day? No?
Also close to Cardiff which is a lovely day out and a lively night! Worth going down to the mumbles as well, Tenby, lots of pubs etc.
Generally lots to do in Wales- I always have a fab time!
Swamsea i'd maybe give a miss

eg party/town/drink/shop or walk/climb/eat out/see the scenery
Do you have a preference for North or South?
What standard/type of accomodation do you want
What is your general overall budget?
How long are you going for?
Difficult to advise without knowing these things

Depends what time of year. Winter isn't the best time. A friend of mines parents used to run a guest house nr Dolgellau in mid Wales and I used to go up there a lot to chill out. Great for walks, central to visit pretty much most of it easily with a car. Only an hour to Snowdon, Dolgoch falls just round the corner and various slate mines. Also the gold mine where the Royal rings come from is based in Dolgellau. The roads are awesome if you're a bit of a driver. Views can be stunning at anytime of year, but can also have horrendous weather unless you're very lucky.

So it seems like cool destination for french couple (not really seeking night life or so)! beside that hotels rates would be lower than other places in UK right?
Thanks for sharing

Not me, friends of mine ... No preference about what region ..they would prefer staying at hotels for three weeks or so ... budget less than 3500 Euro or the equivalent...

God, you could stay in B&B's and never spend anywhere near that! They are usually 20 to 35 quid a night! They could of course go to the Celtic Manor, stayed there once and it is relaxing there.

Pembrokeshire is the place to go.
Tenby is a great little town and the seafood is stunning, lots of cool coastlines, St David's, otters, seals, dolphins. Beaches are stunning as well, Pendine sands is not far away.

Have they considered renting a cottage? there are plenty of companies who do this.
They could look at maybe doing a mix of cottage rental and hotels. Perhaps a week each in 2 separate cottages/different places, with a weeks hotel in between or vice versa.
3500 euros is around £3000 correct? unless they are going over Christmas when prices are increased, they could probably get a 2 bed cottage for around £500 - 600 per week or maybe cheaper.
I don't think hotels or Bed and Breakfast are particularly cheaper than anywhere else. I would guess cheapest decent hotel/BnB would be £50 per room per night.
Places to consider visiting? Conway, Abersoch, Betws-Y-Coed, Caernarvon, Capel Curig, Llanberris, Beddgelert
Maybe climb Snowdon?
If you want a more specific suggested itinerary, let me know

I hear Pembrokeshire and area is beautiful (first area of designated natural beauty in UK - correct?).
There are mountainous areas as well as some beautiful beaches.

If they want to go for sight seeing/scenery rather than being a major town/city, then North Wales is probably best.

Wales is great Naim. Thoroughly recommend it. Really good for those who love the outdoors.
Get your friends to seek out a copy of 'Gavin & Stacey' on DVD.
It will give them an idea about the natives!!!!
