Are you thinking it's the son rather than the father? Jacques is nowhere near this list, though his career is all about what could have been. I think Hamilton is on a very similar trajectory.

No - I got the right one. I just didn't see Gilles as a legend (see Inselaffen's comment too).

I can still remember very clearly where I was when I heard of Senna's death. Can't say that for any news event other than 9/11. (Or at least I can't recall that I can, if you see what I mean...)

Edit: Actually not true: Lady Di and Amy Winehouse. I'll probably think of some more...
