Update - The Final Hurdle!
Finally, as some of your remember from a previous post of mine, my new residence visa has been stamped. It's taken nearly 6 months, but I am now employed, about to move into a new place and the bank haven't uttered a peep! Thanks for all your kind words and support over the last few months, I intend to relax a bit now!

Good work lad, also I've paid my fine, got my passport back and a certificate from teh courts saying they've held my passport for 6 months so when I go to immigration tomorrow they should give me a pass to leave the country and no overstay fine then I can get my residence. It's almost over....
