God I should be on commission. I player works sometimes just depends on your internet speeds. ITV and C4 seem to work better. Have pmd you

Just picked up on this thread....

Just got one where I can switch between UK and US a couple of times a month. So far, no issues with it and d/l speeds are great...

Much appreciated.

The one I am using tends to be 1mb only, my internet connection is 4mb so downloads when connected are near impossible. Can you let me know who you are with and the speeds your getting?

Get a friend working for an IT company and get a free, fast VPN ;)

Seriously though, you need one to survive here. My AD internet account is only the 1 megabit one but its survivable for downloads. I still get 1 megabit download speed when going through my VPN.

I'm new to this site. I'm a Brit with a house in San Pedro Belize and an occasional property in England. I use a US-based VPN which does for almost all my needs, but I would like occasionally to be seen as being in the UK (for BBC TV mainly). I'm interested in knowing if there are any affordable solutions available to me, either to run in conjunction with my existing US service, or to replace it once my prepaid subscription expires. In the latter case I'd need from time to time to appear to be in the US or in the UK.

I appreciate the risks of posting this info publicly, but I'm open to a PM!

er, could I jump on the "please PM me!" bandwagon too? :o

My daughter is having CBeeBies withdrawal and I've just had a look at what's offered on BBC Prime (haha), which seems to be repeats on loop.

If you want to watch iPlayer ( and past shows) you do need a UK VPN but if you just want to watch LIVE TV and UK news...see here: :)

I now have a very simple, 100% effective, and to me free solution. It was there all the time and I didn't realise - my existing VPN provider offers this service.

I'll PM people with the info but I won't post it publicly and I urge others not to post details of working solutions. These boards are scanned by people who want to stop VPNs working.

I made a post earlier but it's vanished!

I have a reliable working solution that turned out to be totally painless and carrying no cost for me. I'll PM details to anyone who asks, but I won't post it publicly.

Coz they all have 'Spugsyitis'....

A condition where you gain a completely over-inflated sense of your importance and decide that it is beneath you to actually do the search, and then request a peon to do it for you....:rofl:

because those of us, say in Oman, or similar countries find that their service provider thinks that that particular word is p0rn and blocks all the websites. so getting a PM (for heaven's sake dont write it in the open) with the email address of a company is very useful.

Desperately need to watch some English TV now.. German channels just aren't the same, especially when you don't speak the language! lol.

Thanks.
