Re: UK based VPN
Just picked up on this thread....
Just got one where I can switch between UK and US a couple of times a month. So far, no issues with it and d/l speeds are great... |
Re: UK based VPN
Sorry to be a pain, but could you also PM me? Been looking for ages to find a good UK VPN - also want to get BBC iPlayer.
Much appreciated. |
Re: UK based VPN
Hi, I'm in a similiar predicament with iplayer - can you send me a PM too please? Thanks

Re: UK based VPN
Get a friend working for an IT company and get a free, fast VPN ;)
Seriously though, you need one to survive here. My AD internet account is only the 1 megabit one but its survivable for downloads. I still get 1 megabit download speed when going through my VPN. |
Re: UK based VPN
I would appreciate a pm of any that people would recommend. The one I use is just soooo unreliable.

I'm interested in knowing if there are any affordable solutions available to me, either to run in conjunction with my existing US service, or to replace it once my prepaid subscription expires. In the latter case I'd need from time to time to appear to be in the US or in the UK.

Re: UK based VPN
er, could I jump on the "please PM me!" bandwagon too? :o
My daughter is having CBeeBies withdrawal and I've just had a look at what's offered on BBC Prime (haha), which seems to be repeats on loop. |
Re: UK based VPN
If you want to watch iPlayer ( and past shows) you do need a UK VPN but if you just want to watch LIVE TV and UK news...see here: :)

http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=628273 I'll PM people with the info but I won't post it publicly and I urge others not to post details of working solutions. These boards are scanned by people who want to stop VPNs working. |

I have a reliable working solution that turned out to be totally painless and carrying no cost for me. I'll PM details to anyone who asks, but I won't post it publicly. |

A condition where you gain a completely over-inflated sense of your importance and decide that it is beneath you to actually do the search, and then request a peon to do it for you....:rofl: |
