Yes just been and bought a turkey, this year I wanted to have Roast Pork or Beef instead but the man of the house wants turkey, I don't even like it that much!

To be perfectly honest I prefer chicken-I always cook a turkey drier than a nuns fanny, I think its about a man eating a turkey leg- especially if its a big bugger- all primeval and all that!

yeah Butterball as there was no way I was going to pay 370 dhs for a fresh one, I prefer the Butterballs though as they still moist. Will be cooking it for 20 hours on the lowest oven temp

20 hours? Christ. I would be worried that wasn't cooked in the middle

I cook it for about 8 hours in a bag. High temp for about 45 mins, the low for the rest of the time.

actually that was meant to say 24 hours, it works, it's the way the German's cook their turkeys

Well last week after debating it for the last 25 years I actually bought a fantastically expensive corn fed French chicken, and it turned out to be the best roast chicken I can recall having!!!
