Default Top Gear - Social Misfits Review

The programme is out to haunt me.

All that self-preening ( most polite word found),slack jawed, "I'm on TV Mum"
crowd, finding cornering and wearing helmets exciting just makes me cringe at my fellow citizens.

Shouldn't it be on CBBC with Kenneth Williams to introduce it?

Is someone holding a gun at your head forcing you to watch it? If not try the off button.

They also claim to like the sound made by internal combustion engines.

Have you ever heard a RR Merlin engine (as used in the Spitfire)?
Just the most fantastic sound

Considering how the average backyard barbecue turns the entire postcode into Mrs Buckets, and how listening to a portable radio in the park draws glares of pure hatred from the middle class(-less) mums and dads, it's amazing how many people claim to like the noise and smell of car engines.

Bahtatboy. At long last. Your reputation goes before you.

Stig is to be revealed and one secret life is ended. I said it was for closeters.

I've met plenty of weird people who don't like cars, don't understand the concept of a combustion engine, and generally couldn't care less if they drove around in an Audi or a Daihatsu....

Also liking cars is a lot less weird than loving bleeding edge technology, gadgets, and software.

Oh sh*t! I like both cars and tech...I guess I am a weird geeky petrol-head! And by god I am proud of it...

Since I moved to Saudi I pretty much like every car I am allowed to drive!
Also I use the first ten minutes just for hugging and kissing of the steering wheel

I can’t really think of anything better coming out of the BBC over the last decade? Must be worrying for them as Top Gear generates huge audiences and revenues but they’ve never really managed to make it work with different presenters.

Looks like it’s going to be one of those things that once it’s gone it won’t return .
