Re: Today I am...... because......
Today I am feeling lofty because I've converted my workstation to a standing desk (reams of printer paper have come in useful). Have managed to move lower back pain to mid back pain, so need to tweak it somehow. Got to be good for nether-regions blood supply, though.
Feel a bit of a prat, but only one comment so far, which was positive.

Thanks for that--was expecting it to be good from Day 1. Better today though, although different shoes.

Re: Today I am...... because......
Today I am working from home again because there is yet another AC repair needed. I swear last week they smashed something with a hammer so they could come back again. After today the total will be 1200.
Now, I'd love to make the better half claim this back from the landlord, but he leaves us well alone and has just agreed to not increase the rent, which was completely unexpected after last years demand for 25% more. Rent prices might be falling / slowing but 100k for what we have is still a good deal so I'm going to take the 1200 on the chin and be happy.
Who knew not getting what you are entitled to felt so acceptable?

Today, I feel smug. I woke naturally at 6.30am, had a relaxing move to the office, went to the gym for an hour and was at my desk by 8.40am.
This means a full afternoon of relaxing.

Today I have a sneaky cup of tea at my desk, hidden behind my computer.
I feel like such a rebel.

How often do you bend over?

I'd love to have you as one of my tenants.
Get away with an illegal 25% rent increase in one year. Have him pay for all the maintenance. Have him be afraid to contact me.
Perfect
I'd even buy you a drink. A cheap one, mind you. Half pint.

Last year we didn't have to pay a penny more. We chose to offer 5k because he leaves us be, never contacts and we didn't want him to give us any notice. This year there's no increase. I think the equivalent of 2,500 per year over the last two renewals is pretty good.
1200 on maintenance on top - We were going to make him pay it until he asked for no increase. I call that this years increase. So we're now at 6,200 or 3,100 a year. I am happy with that. There's absolutely no need to run around this town arguing over every dizzer.

Who said anything about afraid? You must have misunderstood. I was saying the LL was good this year because he didn't ask for the silly increase like last year.

Dunno mate, but 6,200 is nothing to laugh at. Pays for a decent holiday, no? Lots of brunches, no? Plenty of booze too.
You're a very obliging tenant that's for sure, but as long as it makes you happy and you have peace of mind

Today I am £365 quid lighter and have sun-seared ears as a result of joining and playing at Golfe de Mogador. Gary Player-designed course adjacent to the charming and historic town of Essaouira. Golf was shite, but everything else was tickety-boo.

Re: Today I am...... because......
Good news is, my contribution is 30,000 because the Mrs allowance is 70k. So 6k of my 30 is a lot (10% for me per year), but in the grand scheme of things, I don't mind because it's a hell of a lot cheaper than moving, less hassle for her (she has to sort with LL) and means we're here in an apartment we like for another year at least.
Looks mega. How's the handicap coming?
