Those YouTube stunt drivers ...
... get a 1,000 dhs fine
http://www.thenational.ae/apps/pbcs....ONAL/100705957
Makes a mockery of the so-called campaign for safer driving in the UAE (equally undermined by the discounted fines being offered in AUD).
Why I'm surprised I don't know but I really do think I'm going to weep with frustration about this now - is there an un'smilie' for this?

The defence lawyer said: “My clients were just enjoying themselves, they are experts at such stunts"
This kind of attitude to driving is the problem.

Re: Those YouTube stunt drivers ...
its utter utter bullshit. none of these ****wits have either the skills or balls that they claim.
I am fairly heavily involved in motorsports here and we hardly ever see any of these guys down at the circuits showing off their skills and the few we do usually end up getting pulled out of the armco barriers within a few laps, thrown off for piss poor driving standards or over taken by actual drivers in knackered old golfs
ie
this **** nugget who came to yas on the first open track day, ironically he was about to be black flagged for his shitty driving

I was never one of those to say " double standards in this country etc etc " my mind set has always been if you dont like it lump it but i have to say that " The rules in this country seem to be for the expats only. They are simply guide lines for locals. " Fare assessment....

Re: Those YouTube stunt drivers ...
this was an opportunity for the police to prove how serious they are.
the assholes had already been punished way before the recent fuss but the shockingly low fine sends a very important message.
