Third Culture Kids
A very interesting article about the identity crisis that expat children may experience when growing up. My daughter still claims to be English despite having been there only twice in her life.

Re: Third Culture Kids
Hmmm... so they've finally put a name to it.
I think a lot depends on the situation - it's far easier to accept being "culturally nomadic" when you're in a school where 99% of your peers are in the same situation as you. Being "culturally nomadic" doesn't help much when you're the only [teenage] foreigner in a close-knit community.

This term, TCK, has been flying around for awhile. It had a facebook group at least 4 years ago..lol...so must be the accepted academic term. Well, according to wiki, it was coined in the 50's.
Being a 'TCK' is a bit of a paradox, never feeling more foreign than when I go 'home'.
