I’ve been in the country for 5 months now – living in Ajman. At first I found it very hard to adapt to my new life and felt really home sick. To add to it my husband was out working longs hours and I was left at home with no car and dial up which was driving me insane! Anyway, I’m now working and really enjoying it, although the drive in and out of Dubai is an absolute pig.
I just wanted to say that I’ve really enjoyed reading this forum and that the information on here really helped me get through the rough time I had. I just hope that I can give valuable advice to those who are new or thinking about moving here

Glad to hear you are settling well now. It does take a few months.

Ditto on the welcome. Not sure I've come across an Ajmani on here before.... How do you find it? I have family in Ajman, seems like a nice enough place to visit, not sure that I'd like to live there myself.

Well, if they can start a Bank, then they surely can have full-fledged posters as well...

Let's just say that the only thing we like in Ajman is the Kempinksi. My husbands company has already paid a year upfront for the apartment so we may as well put up with it before we start contributing towards another apt.

Really? I don't remember seeing him in there - unless he was that bloke that was buying all the drinks.......
