I can see that registering with the British Consulate here was a real lot of use! they certainly didn't send me anything about this.

Tell them not to worry and watch the news next week as it will become clear why the alert was issued.

Ah - a minor UK Royal visiting so they decided to do a more in depth check of intel. Anacurna's swot team were sweeping the Embassy. Expect grip and grins to appear in the press.....?

I think there is as much chance of a Terrorist attack here as I have of sleeping with Kylie minogue. It ain't gonna happen. There are too mayny other nationalities mixed with British that in effect they would hit their own. Yes this has happened in the past, but I really can't see it happening here.
The only reason the British Gov announced this is because it's close to the anniversary of 7.7.05.
I won't be changing my routine one iota.

I think it's good not to be terrorised by terrorists, after all this is their aim. However, it's also good to be vigilant just like we would on the tube in London i.e. a bag that's not accompanied or a suspicious acting person with a back pack in a hoody at a club. As I've said before on here I get intermittent warnings and intelligence through about potential attacks here, specifically related to hotels and clubs - and I've recently been warned that the threat is currently extremely high as has been in the news. I'm not going to change my lifestyle as a result, because this means the terrorists win, but I will be aware of the threat.

Lol

I don't think most people will start packing up their bags any time soon!

In the last 10 years there have been several security alarms, rumour, speculaton, whatever, nothing happened!

Who knows at the end of the day it could happen anywhere at anytime
