Tattoos in Dubai, UAE
#1
Just wondering if anyone perhaps knows the contact details for a tattoo artist here in the UAE, preferably Dubai but anywhere would do. Would be grateful if anyone has any details.

There used to be one here, but I can't locate her - thought someone might know - while they are haram, she used her craft for post surgical and restorative tattooing - such as for breast cancer, scar concealment, eyebrow loss, etc She was licenced by the Ministry of Health. She did the arty stuff on the side.

I doubt that safety and hygiene is going to be top of the list for any back-alley tattoo shops in Dubai...
However I have heard that there are licensed tattoo shops in Bahrain. Not sure where, but I will ask around if you want...
One of the new clubs recently opened in Juffair apparently even do a weekly (or possibly monthly) tattoo evening where they allow artists to come and show their stuff and take bookings..

This event was back in December, and not sure if they've had anymore.

A quick call to the place and they should be able to say if they are going to host more nights, and where the tattoo artists are in Bahrain..

You can go to his Villa or he'll come to you for an extra charge , there's a massive underground scene in Dubai and a lot of the artists are first rate . His equipment is first rate and he's been tattooing in Dubai for 7 years.

The guy that done mine in Dubai is one of the best in the buisiness , he done some stuff for me in Hong Kong in 95 , he's in Dubai now , works only on recommendations from other clients and he ain't cheap.

if he's top notch he's going to be keen on keeping his clients happy especially as referrals is usually how artists get new clients...i've been thinking of getting a chinese/japanese dragon coming over my shoulder with the tail down the arm for a couple of years, but still haven't found an artist who i would trust with such a big (and specialist) piece. one guy who was referred to me (in UK) said "no problem", but looking at his portfolio I saw no chinese or japanese art whatsoever. i politely told him "maybe some other time"...
