Re: Syrian conflict
Cannot really blame us for going to school getting an education instead of staying at home burying your head in the sand whilst reading a 2000 year old book.

Bad as Assad is , a Sunni takeover will invariably mean ethnic cleansing of anyone not Sunni Arab; it will be Iraq sectarianism part 2.

i am sure there are plenty of more intelligent people in the new country you reside in, you just lucked out because of english colonialism.
if not you could've stayed home, and braved what you just told me in your own country.
you didn't because the conditions are much better, aren't they?

Re: Syrian conflict
how do you assume there will be an ethnic cleansing?
was there ethnic cleansing in other areas of arab spring?
besides most of the areas are imaginary lines drawn by your forefathers to get the black gold!

Of course the locals have to reward us handsomely using their first world wealth to come to their third world countries so we use our skills for their benefit.

you could do that in your own country, but you see yourself as something better than the local population.

"While there is no centralized source of information on the number of Christians who have left Iraq, it is estimated that there were 2 million there in the 1990s. That number has fallen to between 200,000 to 500,000 today, according to church leaders."
Ethnic cleansing of Christians in Syria by Sunni rebels.

Salafists are intimately connected with Anti Assad rebels, and no one needs to be told on how intolerant Salafists are. The Muslim Brotherhood, a milder version of Salafists, are turning the screws on the Copts.
It has becomes quite clear that where ever Islamists take political and military control, they carry out a concerted effort to kill/drive out minorities.

Re. "Most of the population is Sunni"
So what are you saying, that the majority should be able to bully the minority?

No, we (and I'm going for the sweeping generalisation here) are out here because the local population are lacking the skills, experience and expertise we have. If expats didn't bring that here the local populace would still be living in tents and herding camels.
Of course the locals have to reward us handsomely using their first world wealth to come to their third world countries so we use our skills for their benefit.

tents and camels don't you feel that is the same patronizing attitude i've been talking about?
