...also happens when house prices are rising...remember Dubai about 5 years ago...a free high performance car (Lamborghini) when you bought a penthouse or a whole tower floor of apartments...that's why there are so many Lamborginis around (well I so I was told).

...too right. When first I came here Lloyds TSB wouldn't give me a mortgage for a Damac property...had to buy Emaar.

The Damac building at the Phase I Dubai Marina (the one next to the Grosvenor Hotel) had a lot of problems early on with flooding in the apartments...water pipes hadn't been connected tightly !
