Stupid stuff Etisalat blocks
NO not those sites......
FFS etisalat are really pissing me off today.
Google translate Blocked
Alta vista Babel Fish Blocked.
How on earth can they justify blocking translation sites........AAAARRRGGGHHH
What otehr sites are blocked which would not offend etc the sensibilities of the UAE

found vpn annoyingly slow so use an annonomiser now. pain is i need to load it up every time i want to go to a blocked site. its free though so cant complain too much

I'm going through Witopia right now and it's fine... I was turning it on and off as required - but just leaving it for now as speed not really affected it seems...

What I would like to know is this: it prevents you from looking at porn (and things that it thinks are porn), but how does it know? What technology does it employ to tell them what is a port site? Surely they can't look at every single site on the web individually to see whether they are port sites or not? Does anybody know?
