Steve Irwin

Today is the second anniversary of his death.

Eccentric lunatic in many ways, but I always felt his infectious enthusiasm for wildlife made for superb television ("Look at this cobra!!! Deadly!! Isn't she byeeewtiful???").

I suppose his up-close-and-personal style with wildlife was ultmately what killed him, but I suspect his TV shows will be shown for generations.

I loved Steve Irwin...he cracked me up.
It was so awful when he died, but lets face it...he was an accident waiting to happen. Some of the things he did were just crazy.

oh his annoying qualities pale into insignificance compared with his kid who is apparently huge in Oz...i can't remember her name, but had the misfortune of seeing some of her tv show when i was staying in singapore...
