Sporting Autobiographies
Anyone got any good ones to recommend?
I've read Fergie's and loved it, was a really good read. Read some of 'Arry Redknapps and put it down because he's a cock.
I'm going to get Poulter's because I think it'll be interesting.
I think the usual - Rooney etc will just be dull as ditchwater so very open to some interesting suggestions please.
Now for the caveat, which I'm putting as nicely as I can, please don't hate me: If you've read some literary, chess playing, 16th century art and poetry guru's book and want to show off about it, please enjoy doing so at the parish hall with all your book club friends.

football biographies are generally bobbins, Kevin Phillips' is possibly the worst book I ever read but these 2 are brilliant though not strictly biographies

NOt really an autobiography kind of chap. I have obvioulsy read Fergies though. It's even better on Audio book.
A bit off topic but if you're looking for a holiday book old favorites include Mr Nice, Marching Powder and Shantaram.

Not read Mr. Nice, second one is great, third is an epic, first 2/3s is decent but when he starts fighting for the Mujahadeen it gets a bit boring.

Martin Johnsons autobigraphy about his time around the Lions tour. I thought that it was a good read and a fair insight into professional rugby at the time.

Not strictly an autobiography but there's Michael Parkinson's book Muhammad Ali a memoir may be a decent read - about his interviews with him
