some help for the uninitiated!
Hi people!
Am considering moving to Sharjah in the new year and need some really good advice...
I'm 34, single lady, won't be earning the earth... so here are the Q's...
1) what are some nice areas that I could afford for a house share? I'd rather have a small room in a nice area than the other way around!
2) is there a website someone can point me to with houseshare adverts?
3) as a person coming alone, are you all nice people (ha ha - only joking!!!)
any help, advice, etc that people can throw may way would be seriously appreciated!
Thanks guys (and wish me good luck for the interview for the job!!!)

Think life for single women can be difficult there. Its a lot more conservative than Dubai.

Re: some help for the uninitiated!
sharjah will be tough as a single female.
it's difficult enough for a single man to find a studio flat!
Finding a Western style house share suitable for a woman would be, I suggest, a total non-starter... sorry!
Depending on your salary+allowances and work location there are places in Dubai that would be much more suitable.

Re: some help for the uninitiated!
i found it quite difficult to get a place in Dubai.
eventually got a place but it did take nine months, but am in now so my advice is to go to a reputable company and let them do the legwork.
there are many advertised. good hunting and good luck
