Sorry, can't say. But, as with most big companies, they proudly shout that people are their most valued resource, and then totally ignore their own rhetoric in day-to-day operations.

I'm starting to wonder if we're all just contractors these days? I've seen so many people get canned recently it's frightening.

Yeah whats with that?

Clearing the decks of rubbish? or just not enough solid projects to sustain the hype?

My former employer is Swiss, and the appear to have lost the plot in MENA, haven't seen so many high profile changes in such a short period of time. The same people that told me my decision to change employers wasnr clever are now calling me for jobs!

Interesting, although I don't view the nationality of the company as important. What is notable, though, is--in the case I'm referring to--its yet another example of a large company divesting control of a sizeable chunk of it to a small number of inexperienced managers, none of whom commands respect of their staff or peers, yet seem to be given huge amounts of rope by the very senior management. They WILL hang themselves eventually, but not before significant harm is done to the organisation, and good people leave.

Regrettably I've seen it at close hand before, and it seems to be a repeated pattern. I have very little faith in big businesses.
