So why is it always perceived that the man is ruining his life/ getting trapped etc?

Are you proposing?

I was going to say you gotta have kids to make you cups of tea and carry in the shopping ect but then I remembered you all have staff to do that for you anyway.

I will do it when it's right and certain.

Cue: loads of shit.

Well, it's never right and it's never certain. But you know that already.

Scampy, how long have the two of you been together? and when is it ever right and certain, god forbid, but if anything happened to her or you would you still wish you'd waited for when it was right and certain? Go on do it- life is too short to hesitate!

3.5yrs. But why rush it? It won't change anything. In fact it will make us worse off financially!

I am, and I love it and despite the fact that I sometimes want to strangle the both of them, the thought of going back home to the rugrats and they jumping all over me puts a smile on my face everytime.
Sure there are bad days and bad nights, but the good days more than make up for it all.
Its like playing golf, you hit a LOT of bad shots, but its the good shots that keep you coming back for more ;)
Finances have a way of working out for you imho

I voted for kids and not marriage. Marriage is an utterly pointless bit of paper.
