If u r in Jhb city, it can be daunting at night-avoid the streets if possible. If u can extend ur stay, u culd do no worse than getting a flight out to Cape Town(sniff*home) and really making an unforgettable trip. Winelands, game(yep, even big 5 down south!)farm, golf, beaches, mountain(do table mountain at sunset or hike up to Lions Head), Robben island -t-it's all there and you'll score on the winter season specials,,,

no worries for any shots-having just departed a week ago i can vouch for that. Jhb does not have much to see unfortunately-as Ceebee says u could perhaps arrange to go to Sun City and the Kruger National Park.

Seriously, if you can go cape town but for a few days don't hesitate. I hear business is booming there these days? Buildings going up everywhere.
i stayed in Hout Bay. lovely place. I'm going to buy Liechtenstein Castle one day. Camps bay is also the badgers nadgers.
A word of warning. You will not have seen anything like the squatter camps before. What a site. Very very intimidating.
