Seafood Brunch Recommendation
Afternoon Folks!
Mother In Law is arriving shortly. My wife wants to head out for a brunch type effort with her, specifically a seafood one.
Any recommendations? I'm flexible with budget since we rarely see her mum. Would like something with nice surroundings and as little loud mouthed brits as possible. As in no-one that would be heading to Barasti afterwards.
I guess it doesn't need to be a brunch, a really nice seafood restaurant would be just a good I guess.
Not fussed if its Dubai or Abu Dhabi since we are essentially equidistant nowadays.

Re: Seafood Brunch Recommendation
Habtoor Grand Al Diyafah on a Thursday night starts anytime after 6.30, last orders 10.30 kicking out uuummmm midnight'ish. Fabulous seafood buffet, all you can eat and drink for about 220 Dits but they often have deals so it's about 130ish. I cannot recommend it enough if you're down this end of town. Otherwise Ibn Battuta Gate Mistral on Thurs or Fri, again I think it starts 6.30 (might be 7) all you can eat & drink for 230ish and there is a big fish choice. Both have fizzy (very nice Chilean), red, white, several beers, Habtoor does spirits, cannot recall Ibn Battuta but they have live music.

Habtoor is JBR so still not in the old part of town, my spelling never helped. Personally, for me, the service and ambience is a little more upmarket in the Habtoor, but no live music.

Wheelers in DIFC, brunch, not a buffet, they bring everything to the table, starting with a sea food platter with lobster, crab, mussels, oysters etc, then all kinds of different dishes, both fish, meat and vegetarian.
Not sure about the price but for sure cheaper than the Al Qasr, Westin etc brunches.

Beach Rotana seafood buffet on a Thursday night would be a good Abu Dhabi option.
