School dinners and lunchboxes
So were you a school dinner or a 'sarnies from home' kid ?
And what lunch box did you have ? I fluctuated between the shite the dinner ladies served up (and before the advent of burgers, pizzas, and Jamie 'bloody' Oliver's lisping health kick became fashionable) and sandwhiches from home Didnt have a lunch box, we were poor .......:( so I happily walked to school with my lunch in one pocket of the trousers with the big pockets on the side (cant remember what they were called ?), and my excercise books and PE kit in the other leg !! |
Re: School dinners and lunchboxes
So what brought on this bout of nostalgia?

I always went home for lunch, or to my grandmother if my mum was working...Dutch schools closed for an hour and half and everyone just went home to eat...

In Scotland, I didn't have a "lunch box" but a wrapped sandwich, which we called a 'piece' and a bottle of Irn Bru I shared with my sister. We were poor as well...lived in shoebox in middle o' road ! :( |
Re: School dinners and lunchboxes
...why do you want to see my 'lunchbox' - very cunning!
