ye all of little faith ie SCAMP, MILLHOUSE, DXBTODOH, BRAINS1983, MISS ANNE THROPE, BEVS, CHARL01, IKNOWNOTHING, DUBAIEXILE & AL DENTE, you will be relieved (and hopefully pleased to hear) i booked my hols last night...woohoo......am going to Punta Cana (Dominic Republic) with friends from the UK.
Got return flights with Emirates via New York (inbound) and Fort Lauderdale (outbound).
7 nights on an all exclusive resort.:thumbsup:

Meanwhile I'm sure if we trawl through the threads we will find that Dominican Rep was one of the suggestions that you previously roundly rejected... It's no Brazil!

NADA, GLITCH...booked it via Travelocity and so if for whatever reason i don't end up going......i've lost just over £2k!

did you fly from the UAE? my mates who flying from London with the same deal cost them £1,500 - mine ended up being much more coz i'm flying from here and also my bank screwed me on the fx rate coz the payment was in USD

Amen to that. I've had my first holiday of the year booked since the start of the year...what makes the wait even worse is that it's a boys trip with Dad and I can't wait to see him. :o:lol:

Technically, first trip is UK next weekend, but not really a holiday and only 2.5 days.
First is Baku with Dad for the Grand Prix in June and I'm so excited.:thumbup:

It is, it's beautiful.
We've gone there the last 4 years now. We book a villa and have a holiday with our parents. It's becoming quite a tradition now :)

September is China...2 weeks at my farm just outside Dalian, and then 2 weeks in Yunnan travelling around....can`t wait, getting a bit sick of the sand pit!

We've been to Keswick twice, it's gorgeous.
It's our second favourite place in the UK after Whitby.

The only lake district i have been to is Windermere and that was donkey's years ago - but i remember we had an awesome time coz the weather was brilliant
