Usually poverty is a dam good reason for lack of compassion and violence but the GCC countries are quite rich, especially Saudi (excluding Shia) so wtf is their reason for being such world class scumbags.

Why is chopping somebody's head off worse than beating them to death (as those Royal Marines did in Iraq) or killing women and children by the dozen with rockets from drones?
