When I was back in the UK (for 7 weeks) recently, I had a Nissan Qashqui (spelling) from Hertz - rocked on up to the counter, they had their SatNav offering on the form to sign - got them to remove it - got in the car, it had SatNav

Had one of them last time. Quite impressed as usually i'm not a fan of Nissans.

TBH even if it didn't have satnav and I didn't have my phone I would never hire one at the 25 odd quid a day they cost. I'd just go and buy a map if skint and do it the old fashioned way or head to Argos and buy a cheap one.... or a cheapie smart phone and download google maps.

Think it depends on the car, they were all nicer cars (Merc / BMW)...I think shitter cars maybe it's harder to turn off / disrupt?
I used thrifty, Jaguar, no problems.

Maybe it depends on the branch too.

Maybe also the car, some might be easier to remove the chip / card / disc whatever.

I booked a Jag with thrifty for a bargain, got there, got fleeced and ended up with a 330d M Sport and loved every second of the extra money.

Flying home tomorrow and only booked last week so there were none of the usual uber bargains on the broker site I always use. Generally I get an SUV / softroader but this time I have....... a mini. Could be fun. Going to be driving up and down the country (Manchester to Norfolk then up and around Scotland). Hope its a nippy little thing.

Desi term? What does that mean?

Have never driven a new one so at least it will be an experience, either good or bad.
