Just been to Manchester airport to pick up a relative - it's fine and Aberdeen flights are operating normally.

I am going early to try and get an emergency exit seat. The flight it full and all online checkin is getting me is a middle seat.

I hate middle seats. REALLY hate middle seats.

Off to Yas marina at 6 for my final bike ride around the course, run for an hour, home, shower sleep and get to the airport at 11pm.

We should have been flying to GOC today via Heathrow: cancelled. Now staying in Dubai for Christmas and will, hopefully, fly to Scotland on 26th.

BA and BAA were caught out by the snow - bring back British Rail, they at least had the wrong leaves!

Try the middle seat of the 5-seat middle row in a Korean Air jumbo non-stop from Seoul to LHR.

I'll be in the Etihad lounge from about 11:30, will have my black stetson with me (gotta keep my head warm somehow).

I ended up cancelling my trip to the UK. Issues with getting to Glasgow and then I would have to drive a minimum of 3+ hours to the family house in the middle of nowhere, aka, the Highlands.

As my mum has been unable to drive down her drive for the last 3 weeks, I really couldnt quite see how I could get up and across Rannoch Moor and through Glencoe!

Resigned myself to the fact that I am here in AD on my tod and am looking forward to it.

Yep - my sis and niece made it from DXB to LHR today without a hitch. Panic over, it seems. Service has been resumed, it seems. Christmas in the New forest, here me come...

Flights were great. Arrived to -10 degrees in Aberdeen on schedule.

Roads down to Arbroath are fine...

Merry Christmas all and sundry.

Buttyboy, I never saw anyone with a stetson. Mind you I'm not important enough to get into the ethiad lounge.

Hope you got home safely
