A producer on Fox News anchor Sean Hannity's radio show called Meghan Markle " very uppity" . In the US this term , when directed at African Americans, is considered racially derogatory , because white Southerners would say it to blacks who didn't know 'their place'. The word is s very obvious dog whistle.

Interestingly enough, according to recent news, she's already quickly moved to register her lifestyle blog business in the American state of Delaware due to its business friendly laws and we must assume it has nothing to do with running away from the nasty UK press and bigoted and racist royal family?

I am not sure the media criticism of Meghan Markle is racist, at least not in the UK. I mean the UK papers might say she's black, but they also used to say Diana was a commoner, so these terms clearly mean something entirely different to royal correspondents than they do to the general public. Meghan isn't black, and Diana was a posh bird.
That said, America is a deeply racist state, and you see wingnuttery of an order the present conservative party in the UK can only dream of. Maybe the US right might force the UK to do something about this mixed-race abomination, as it's now clear they're going to use the brexit they supported to bend the UK over and do as it's told about practically everything.

Raab has already unofficially given yanks diplomatic immunity for killing Brits, at least up until they're safely out of the country, when it's ok to withdraw it and then wring your hands about how terrible it all is. So might as well formalize it in a trade deal so we all know where we stand.

I gotta agree with Christmas.
I'm old enough to remember other royals being dragged over the coals by the media. Remember the ferocious attacks and press over Fergie before, during and after the divorce? The ugly side of the media that certainly has nitpicked Meghan Markle to death has done the same thing to the York girls, there's plenty of nasty online comments about their physical appearances and clothes. And even Kate went through a period with the press complaining she was lazy and not doing anything. And remember the scandal about those photos taken of her and Will when they were sunbathing naked? I remember the snide comments and sneers about Carole Middleton and her former life as an air hostess. I don't see Meghan being treated any differently.
I do see people whose identities are wrapped up in seeking racism in every facet of life finding the racism they're looking for and refusing to acknowledge the same degree of press hostility has faced other royals too. So when a woke misanthrope like Miss Ann comes along and tells us to check our privileges, I only roll my eyes and tell him he needs to check his woke ignorance. I do also see people who are republicans / disdain the monarchy / disdain the UK in general flocking to "support Meghan" when in reality they're just using her as fuel for their own prejudices.
The simple reality is Meghan Markle is running away because she doesn't want to spend her life doing the royal duty and being second fiddle to Will and Kate. I guess the red carpet Hollywood glamorous lifestyle with all the shallowness and parasites implied with it is better suited for Harry and Meghan than a lifetime of duty opening hospitals and charity events and concerts. Hey, I'm sure I wouldn't like the royal duty, but let's be real here. They're running away from the press in the UK to be what? "Influencers?" Which means they fully intend to remain in the public spotlight and expect millions of flashing camera bulbs adoring them. They just didn't like people mocking their hypocrisy in wanting to save the environment while running around in private jets. And now they want to be financially independent despite already having a, what, fortune estimated between 30-40 million, and pray tell how will they accomplish the extra hundred or so million they apparently need? Fat speaking fees preaching environmentalism to other rich people before hopping on their private jet back home? Ok.... Their only justification for being influencers is effectively the royal status, but they don't want the obligations of duty that we in the UK expect of the royals.
I'd have a lot more respect for Harry and Meghan if their goal was to set up a quiet life on a farm on a Canadian island and live the environmentally conscious lifestyle there, quietly with family and close friends, and occasionally going back to the UK for the periodic family photo. That I completely understand. But that's not what they want, isn't it? It's to hang out with hollywood stars and strut the red carpet and give soulful interviews about how important their causes while pocketing the fees instead of donating it to those causes.
I must say, I expect a divorce. Give it five years. Harry will go back to the UK and maybe remarry someone from his former tatler set of friends and set up housekeeping on a Scottish estate doing his low key environmental stuff, and Meghan goes back to LA.

And you've chosen to see racism everywhere, even where there is none. MM arrived to a wave of goodwill - even though several rules were bent for her. The chimp episode was stupid, sure, but other than that, not much...

I'd rather see them do something positive or good. We all know they're hugely wealthy so they can buy as many houses as they wish, but who gives a monkeys if they live in a royal cottage? I'm sure their individual contributions to society has probably warranted a home.

The recent statements and the way Granny cut them out made it pretty clear the major motivation for leaving the Firm was to shill for money. But their source of wealth is only as celebs, and unfortunately Harry and Meghan are getting old. Meghan is already 38. Her star power will start declining rapidly when she's 40. That's the price Hollywood extracts of its celebrities. And it's going to be very hard to not capitalise on their ex-royal status as most won't care about the legal differences between being HRH or not, so how their commercial future won't be tawdry and somewhat pathetic will be interesting.
As Diana's boy and the obsession with Diana among the Americans, Harry is never going to wholly shake off the press attention, and I do have sympathy for him, but he could have gone a quieter route. Buy a ranch in Canada or estate in Scotland, stay away from the red carpet at all times, live quietly with wife and kid and sooner or later the press gets bored and moves on to fresh meat. But for someone who hates the press and resents their intrusive role, it's surprising he married an attention-seeking celebrity wife and talks about a future as influencers. Not quite sure how that's going to work out.
