Ronnie's dead!
Ronnie Biggs the Great Train Robber has shuffled off...

Re: Ronnie's dead!
Not before time.

Re: Ronnie's dead!
No sympathy whatsoever, he's a murderer and should never have been given parole.
(When I saw this thread I hadn't seen/heard the news and thought it was going to be Ronnie Wood. Now that would have been tragic). |

Re: Ronnie's dead!
Good timing.

Re: Ronnie's dead!
Good riddance.

Re: Ronnie's dead!
Probably have a bigger funeral than Mandela with lots of lovely friends and 'colleagues' attending.

Re: Ronnie's dead!
Well that tops off a crap day.
Kix - how is he a murderer exactly? He didn't hit the train driver and the poor guy eventually died of leukemia, a completely unrelated death. |

If the gang hadn't held up the train and smacked the driver and fireman over the head with an iron bar, then would they both have died so young? Probably not. I stand by my original statement and echo meow's sentiment (not often we agree) good riddance. Expect barbara Windsor to be out soon saying what a loveable rogue he was, far from it. |

There were too early deaths as a direct result of these murderers.

I can't see the connection between cancer and a bang on the head but I'm sure the Daily Mail has proved one. Not sure about the other guy but the "murderer" argument looks rather tenuous, even if you're a Fox News fan.....

Re: Ronnie's dead!
The BBC piece seems well balanced:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-25426914 I can't see where 'murderer' comes from.......... |
Re: Ronnie's dead!
Murderer on not, he was a criminal who rather than working for money like the vast majority of us do, decided it's easier to steal other peoples money. So what if it means beating up a few innocent people?
In an ideal world his death would have got not no press as ultimately he was a scumbag who brought no value into this world. |
