Robert Burns - 250th Anniversary
'Tis 250 years since Robert Burns birth tomorrow Sunday 25 th January
O' my Luve's like a red, red rose, That's newly sprung in June: O'my Luve's like the melodie, That's sweetly play'd in tune. As fair art thou, my bonnie lass, So deep in luve am I; And I will luve thee still, my dear, Till a' the seas gang dry. Till a' the seas gang dry, my dear, And the rocks melt wi' the sun; And I will luve thee still, my dear, While the sands o' life shall run. And fare-thee-weel, my only Luve! And fare-thee-weel, a while! And I will come again, my Luve, Tho' 'twere ten thousand mile! 2009 is also the Year of the Homecoming, which commences on Sunday. There will be a global gathering of the clans in Edinburgh in July. |

The gathering in Edinburgh will be simply awesome. I'm home in July for a wedding in Arbroath Abbey, hopefully it will tie in with a trip to good ole edinburger |

Did I miss the name of the singer? |

If you like Eddi Reader and her ilk, you will not get a better compilation than;
'The bird and the tree and the fish and the bell' One of my favourite LP's.. |

For all its problems, I don't get a better feeling than when I land in Glasgow. The city centre is just heavenly..
