Default RIP Rik Mayall

I love The Young Ones and Bottom, so young at 56 too. May he rest in peace.

Such a shock! So young! Very sad, but he left his mark on comedy history, a genius in his field!

Loved him as Lord Flashheart in Blackadder and of course Bottom in my student days.

Very sad news.

RIP Rik

Loved the New Statestman, The Young Ones and Bottom but his performance as Lord Flasheart in Black Adder Goes Fourth was the best. RIP Rik

He was good in Blackadder but I didn't really find Bottom that funny, or The Young Ones.

Guess I'm in the minority.

Best Of Lines from the BBC;

Rick: What are you doing, Vyvyan?

Vyvyan: I'm entering a contest to win a Ford Tippex. You have to say what Cornflakes mean to you in 10 words. So I said: Cornflakes. Cornflakes. Cornflakes. Cornflakes. Cornflakes. Cornflakes. Cornflakes. Cornflakes. Cornflakes.

Rick: Pathetic! You'll never win, Vyvyan.

Vyvyan: Why not?

Rick: It's only nine words.

Vyvyan (writing): Corn... flakes!

One of the funniest British comedy actors of all time. At least we still get to see his co-partner on a regular basis in Aid in Britain.
