Ignoring for the moment that BMI is now totally discredited as a measure of weight (half of the England team that won the Rugby World Cup were 'obese' by that measure), there's an interesting 'world scale' in this piece:

...... yes, and it completely falls apart with people who are very short or very tall, such as 'obese' basketballer Shaquille O'Neal........... and me...........

Actually Shaq is quite obese, and very tall. He was not obese in his early playing days. Time and lack of willpower has not been kind.
