I gave up drinking once........... It was the worst eight hours of my life!! :D

Dubai: The Eid Al Fitr holiday for federal ministries and departments will start from Wednesday, Ramadan 29 (September 8), until Shawwal 3, 1431 Hijri year. Work will resume on the fourth day of Shawwal, according to a circular issued by the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Federal Human Resources Authority, Humaid Obaid Al Qutami.

If you read the full article, this is for the Government departments, last paragraph says that Eid will probably fall on Friday and private sector holiday will be announced later - I reckon we will get just the Sunday.

Company's already announced we get Thurs-Sunday off.

But I will be working Thursday anyway as I am off to Singapore next week.

The first night - eg. from sunset when Eid is declared - which we still don't know. Most likely Thursday, but possibly Wednesday. At latest Friday since at some point they give up even without seeing the moon crescent.
