Default QROPS Vs SIPP?

Living in Dubai you no doubt here these words several times a week when your phone rings for the 10th time by an agent who does not know what they mean themselves.

Many companies in Dubai pigeon hole you into a QROPS even if you are returning to the UK simply because they have no other options.

They will also not inform you that you can benefit just as much by having your UK pension managed in its current state, however of course they dont as they wont be qualified to do so.

You typically have 4 options
1. Transfer into a QROPS (if your staying offshore)
2. Transfer into a SIPP based offshore
3. Transfer into a UK SIPPfrom your UK scheme and have the investment managed professionally (keeping your pension in the UK)
4. Leave your pension as it is.

There are benefits and drawbacks to each but as a qualified IFA who has worked offshore and onshore I can assist you further and provide you proper non biased advice.

Who'd trust someone who joins a forum simply to flog their services, but then cannot spell or punctuate properly?

It's also disgenuous to suggest that offshore advisers are not qualified.

Many companies in Dubai pigeon hole you into a QROPS even if you are returning to the UK simply because they have no other options. Some salespeople may, but a good adviser won't. Rude to make sweeping assumptions

They will also not inform you that you can benefit just as much by having your UK pension managed in its current state, however of course they dont as they wont be qualified to do so. Poor grammar & punctuation & sweeping comment is incorrect

You typically have 4 options
1. Transfer into a QROPS (if your staying offshore) Tsk - schoolboy error
2. Transfer into a SIPP based offshore Why offshore? Can be in UK

Grammatical errors and punctuation lacking

Please do not hesitate to get in touch

That is in accordance with forum rules. I would never stoop so low as to blatantly beg for clients as you have just done. Incidentally breaking forum rules.

Massive difference kiddo...

Because, Meow isn't here first and foremost to offer her services to people, unlike yourself.

Secondly, she is recognised as someone who knows what they're talking about, having helped many forumites avoid financial expert wannabes.

thanks for the info but to be quite honest with you joining BE is not a way to make clients. We have regular members who post here who over the years have gained business from fellow members. Carry on posting but cut the touting for business.

Thank you

It seems the OP missed the notice in the first post made about reading up on site rules and to not spam the board looking for clients.

The benefit of the doubt after the first post given, but to then basically repost asking for people to get in touch is taking the mick.

It also doesn't set out a great example, so I'm only going to close this thread, rather than delete it.
