Hi Guys,

Regarding the QDC licence here in Doha... Is the Company NOC essential? Or will a letter with my Company letterhead and stating my salary basics, be enough.

I can get the NOC but it is a nightmare, I waited 2 months for the NOC to transfer my driving licence. Therefore would prefer not to deal with the HR process and just have my line manager (Managing Director) print it off and sign it there and then.

Please only answer the question if you have done this (preferably recently) yourselves.

I renewed my existing licence with a salary letter from a new sponsor (employer), just over two years ago. In your circumstances, I would try a salary letter, if they accept it fine, if they reject it you will get guidance on what you need to submit next time. Hope this helps.

Cheers for the response, I'll try that. Bit of a ruckus driving from the pearl in hope of the salary letter working, but worth a shot.

Company letter with official stamp that states salary and any allowances signed by someone important like the tea boy will be fine
