Only the police and military have entitlement to these. The Autodrome went through hell to get set up communication between cars and pit and even now it's a problem for some teams and events.

You can't have CB at all; it's illegal.

Guess it's to prevent the dodgy DVD vendors from getting organised.

Supposedly, it's a security issue, but who knows the real reason. All cloak n dagger stuff!

They used the camel oracle demi-prophet to determine this rule.

Bison - you could always try what I original (pirate radio) wanted to do in London.

You only get caught by triangulation, so if you have a mobile antenna you would be fine. Or you have the antenna hooked up to an wifi connection - all they confiscate is the mast and receiving equip... You can broadcast either from on the move in the jeep of just whip up a mast and broadcast from remote via wifi / internet.

Do it mate - just don't repeat a whole load of bolllocks... oh...

Haha....though not on me old, trusty 10m British cabin cruiser !

I have to use a mobile phone..but I suspect that those boats that go further offshore would have to have marine radios for safety reasons.

Because you do, no logical reason given, you have to have Ministry of Interior approval also.

You can apply for one , doesn't mean you will necessarily get it. Depends on the reasons why you want it etc etc.
