The good thing is that over here it doesn't affect you as much, back home I used to work next to st james park, so everytime something like this happened I'd be accosted by that wanker jim white dfrom skysports hanging out the back of his truck trying to get interviews - and of course there was always some daft twat more than happy to blather some bollocks to them and make us look like idiots.

Joking aside i think Ashley's on another planet man , the bloke must be mad , maybe it's personal with the guy , he's personally destroying the club.

Jol tuns the job down because it was a results based contract and there's no money to spend , what decent manager is going to work for that fella.

Another interesting bit of news...it just gets better.

"BBC Sport understands that Pardew was in talks with Newcastle about taking over at St James' Park as long as 10 days ago. It is believed Pardew became close friends with Newcastle owner Mike Ashley and director Derek Llambias when all three were familiar faces at an exclusive London casino where Llambias was managing director."

I'm surprised anyone would take the 'poison chalice' at Newcastle, and yeah, an ****ing idiot of an owner who knows nothing at all about how to run a club and who has sacked 5 managers in 3 years.

I heard on fairly good authority that Ashley was advised to buy Newcastle to give him (or rather SportsDirect) leverage over Adidas.
Not the best business move he ever made.
