Not Halal
Every time we do a big shop I get a few jars of Princes sardine and tomato paste (don't judge please, it's one of my favourite 80s foodstuffs).
Anyway..... for the past few weeks they’ve also sold the chicken paste.
I'm a nosey beggar so I emailed Princes to ask if it's halal as it’s not stored in the sin section. It isn't.
This is the third time I've come across this kind of thing in various supermarkets (beef & ale pies and poppy seeds in boxes of crackers).
How much bother would they be in if caught?

Why isn't sardine in tomato paste halal ?
Shouldn't it just be sardines and tomatos ?

If fish without scales are haram, how come I see Omanis buying bags of cuttle fish and squid whenever I’m in Carrefour here in Muscat?

I thought all seafood was halal. Certainly that's the rule my other half follows - or did follow when he used to follow the rules. He used to subsist on tuna pizzas in pizza express when in London. I therefore also know the location of lots of seafood restaurants in various European cities...
