Default New Year Eve ideas

Ok, so there is nothing like some forward planning.

I'm going to have some guests with me for NYE this year and I'm looking for some ideas to entertain them.

Dinner at Adel Wahab overlooking the fountains is coming at 3000AEDpp so that's off the list. But I would like to do something in the downtown area if possible so I can walk home. Does anyone have any ideas?

Cheers, S

Make Scamp host a party so his place gets trashed and you can leave the mess behind.

That would be good a idea. I'm also trying to get two other friends to do the same

You could do an Iggle Hunt in the desert. He shouldn't be difficult to capture; naked, tarred and feathered; a couple of 4x4's with roo bars and spotlights, paint ball guns and lassoos. Beers and a BBQ afterwards. Best NYE you'll ever have.

Weirdly enough, a camp in the desert is a top idea, did it a few years ago, a few of us fancied it, arrived at the (pre planned) camp site mid afternoon, set up camp etc. we'd shared the GPS location with a few mates, expecting 10, maybe 15 cars. over 80 turned up, proper crazy one. I woke up with my legs out of my tent and body in, obviously where I fell over LOL

I do host a spectacular party and the balcony view of the Khalifa is spot on.

However - I'm not sure if I'm going to be here or UK for New Years yet. Frankly, I hate it and can do without it.

One place I would recommend Millhouse - Iris at the Oberoi. We went, just four of us, for NYE there a few years ago. No overpriced (not much food to be honest) but great cocktails, service and bottles on the table.

Why would you stand around all day if you were going to the opera?

Whatever he says the price is, you're going to say it's too much and too expensive and that they can stand in the park next to it with some cheap beer, hear the opera, eat a Maccy D's and see the fireworks. All for buttons compared.
