There's nothing like muscling into a plate of mussels in Brussels. Used to go to one restaurant off the main square that served them up in ceramic top hats.

Later, I got soaked while standing by the statue of the wee boy who pees, they turned up the water pressure just as I was about to take a photograph !

Talking of Geordies...

...some people think mussels are sheilas in the North East. For example, it was reported that Michael Owen went to a dance club where he pulled a mussel and had to go home and spend the rest of the night in bed.

Mate in the mall of emirates there some restuarants upstairs, one is called 'apres', just next to that is a really nice french restaurant, they do awesome mussels and chips, seriously miles better than the belgian bar.

You mean when you enter the mall from the hotel and make a right?

I went there to watch the opening of the olympics last year, place was pretty packed and when the USA came on, everybody was boo-ing

Had some small snacks there as well, no idea bout the rest of the food.

Chili's is ok (compared to the foodcourt), big ass steaks for 100dhs
