What time's kick-off then? I don't normally get back to Marina till after 7, but if we're starting earlier than 7.30-8 I'll try to leave work early.

For god's sake people. Stop squabbling and sort this out.

Just go to the new Belgian Beer cafe in Madinat Jumeirah. It's approximately halfway between Marina and Downtown and it satisfies Meow's requirements for no New Dubai. Easy to get a taxi there, easy to get a taxi out of there. Smoking allowed. Plenty of tables. Good beer. Any problems?
