Medication advice please
Hi, Am doing research for my partner who will be moving to Sharjah in 3 1/2 weeks. Does anyone have any info on the cost of medication. The type for blood pressure, cholesterol and ulcers. Is it comparative to the cost in Australia? Any help appreciated. Thanks

I've heard medication tends to be expensive over here. I don't do any but I have heard people talk.

but surely if he needs the medication, then he will have to pay whatever it costs...unless he's planning to bring over a year's supply or whatever...

why don't you get him to sign on here instead of you having to do all his legwork...that way he gets to know some people out here and maybe meet a few as well...that would be nice for him

That would be good wouldn't it but as he has left everything to the last minute he asked if i would try and find out. Like i said not all that well planned which was my worry in the first place. And at least when he gets there if he is finding it hard i'll know where to direct him so he can chat to you guys. Thanks

Teaching is definately something he's great at, he will be sorely missed at school here that's for sure. Pretty sure there'll be some unhappy kids and parents on Monday when the news gets spread...

Re: Medication advice please
It very much depends on the specific medications. If he is happy using generic brands (assuming these are available) then he can buy them for much less than the heavily advertised ones.
I am also confused as to why he isn't doing any of this research himself.

That confuses me too but if it's a choice between packing his s*** up, organising where his old holden ute is going to live , how to finance the trip or this research i'm getting the better deal talking to you lovely people. x And as for the apron strings i've said no to helping with the other things so we'll see Ha
